With a wealth of experience in educational administration, Heather was recognized statewide as the 2023 Louisiana State Elementary Principal of the Year for her exceptional leadership and measurable impact on student achievement, making her a notable figure among Louisiana School Leaders.
A former elementary principal and a graduate of the Louisiana Superintendent’s Academy (Cohort 6), Heather was also inducted into the Southern Arkansas University Educational Leadership Hall of Fame in 2023. These honors reflect her significant contributions to school leadership.
During her tenure as principal, Heather navigated schools through challenging times while driving improvements in early literacy, school performance scores, and LEAP achievement. Today, her work focuses on building school success through strategic teacher coaching and leadership development, which enhances educational resources and strengthens instruction to improve outcomes for students.

As a part of our commitment to serving Louisiana School Leaders, our membership is just $199 a year, significantly lower than many other school leadership associations.

Legal Services
LSL offers comprehensive legal services and professional assistance for employment defense to its members. Under our provisions, attorney fees are covered by LSL, ensuring that Louisiana School Leaders receive the support they need through existing insurance provisions and pro bono legal representation policies.
Additional Coverages
In addition to a robust $2,000,000 Liability Policy, our membership encompasses additional insurance that covers attorney fees related to identity theft and criminal actions/proceedings connected to your employment. We also offer coverage against assault-related property damage and bail bonds associated with your role.
